August was a pivotal point in my life. There was quite a lot of uncertainty, I think, as I reflect upon it now. Having just come back from being abroad in Tokyo, which was basically my first time being on my own abroad for the most part, I was excited to be reunited with good friends and the comforting sensation of home.

Yet the trip had also brought a lot of new questions into my life concerning about what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be in terms of career and a person of society. Although, both and especially the latter have always been prevalent questions for me since I was young.

Over the summer I had felt a lot of inspiration to begin drawing again, inspired by culture, and newfound feelings. Although they were small, insignificant sketches I felt a strong spiritual revival in the action of drawing itself.

These uncertainties about myself traveled along through the rest of the school semester…

Although I had these feelings, I also discovered a new independent strength and confidence in myself. Overall, my summer and trip abroad was priceless and a once in a life time experience that I am very thankful for. Special thanks to all of those who have made this possible and helped me along the way. Special thanks to fellow HDA members and the ICC company who made this all possible. And another thanks to HDA company  for the good times spent, and all that I have learned.

Meanwhile once returning, I still had a couple time to experience some typical summer activities of home before school started. One activity near my home, in Sea Cliff, NY is kayaking.  I have always been inclined to the ocean, so this is a perfect way to end summer. And of course returning to Pratt (my college), good food in a nice atmosphere and nice area of DUMBO, Brooklyn is a must.
